The Path of Inner Seeing

Swadarshan Sādhana gently guides you to turn your attention inward and connect with your true Self. “Swa” means Self and “Darshan” means inner seeing—an experience of looking beyond the busy mind and touching the calm space within. Inspired by the Upanishadic teaching Ātmanam Viddhi (Know yourself), this practice helps you step back from stress, noise, and constant thinking so that clarity and peace can naturally arise.

With Gurumaa’s guidance, sadhaks learn simple yet powerful tools—mantra chanting, breath awareness, and mindful observation. Among them, one simple yet powerful mantras in the Sanatan yogic path that move naturally with the breath and need no initiation is Soham and its reverse form Hamsa, symbolizing the pure liberated self.

Soham comes from two words: Sah – “That” or the Higher Self and Aham – “I am”. Together, this mantra helps the seeker recognize the true nature of self and unite with higher consciousness.

An effortless inner repetition of inhaling and chanting “So (सो)” and exhaling while chanting “Ham (हम्)” is called Ajapa Japa, as the mantra continues silently with every breath—day and night.
